Ochoko Janome ![]() Ochoko Janome is...
The Janome pattern — named for its resemblance to a serpent's eye and coiled form — has long been regarded as a protective talisman against evil spirits. Its use on sake tasting cups dates back to the Muromachi period (14th–16th century), when it was adopted to help sommeliers distinguish the clarity and colour of sake. Here, this storied motif is rendered in gold and silver against a deep black ground, giving a classical design a quietly modern character. The smooth, polished finish lends a refined feel to the lip of the cup. <Ochoko Janome> Heiando size(cm) : φ6.5*3 material : Plastic quality : Urethane coating More Information
